Dave Kennedy, Director of Custom Micros has worked in the IT industry since the mid 80s and set up Custom Micros with a vision of providing an IT service that simplifies the process for anyone wanting a no-nonsense solution to their IT needs and problems. As a result, this is the ethos running through our business. Our customers just want to know ‘it works’ not ‘how it works’!

Custom Micros has grown in size and reputation through recommendation and referral since the early days. Whilst we tend to specialise in small business support, the scale and breadth of the clients we work with has evolved over the years. At one end of the scale we might be setting up a small business with a domain name plus Office 365 software, and at the other end servicing a £50m global business with multiple UK and overseas locations.

We work across many business sectors and our clients include individuals, sole traders, schools, hotels and multi-site corporate businesses. Providing services from our base near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, we also travel throughout the UK as required.

CUSTOMER SERVICE & SUPPORT

Speed of response is critical to our clients. If your server is down, or your network compromised, we prioritise call outs and support to get you back up and running. We pride ourselves on solving the majority of clients’ problems quickly and efficiently.

We are at the end of the phone to handle your ‘crisis’ and our personal approach has led to long lasting client relationships and great testimonials.

We offer Remote Support packages to support you for simple or minor issues and fixes.

TAILORED SUPPORT

We tailor our support to suit each clients’ individual needs which is why we work for large organisations down to home users. We are happy to support existing servers and infrastructure as well as new hardware and software.

NETWORK INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

We provide Cat 5E/Cat 6 cabling and installation plus Certification using the latest Lantek 3 certifier, so that we generate reports suitable for architects, local authorities, electrical contractors and other bodies requiring certified testing.

SITE ASSESSMENTS

We provide a vital value add service if you are thinking of moving premises. It’s critical that the premises you choose are suitable for the needs of your business so we assess the suitability of a building in terms of the infrastructure, cabling, networking and broadband speed available. We have saved many clients from making the wrong choice of location that would ultimately compromise the profitability of their business.

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUR BUSINESS

We do not exclusively supply software and hardware and build servers. One of our key objectives is to foster relationships with clients for the longer term and we do this through consultancy, getting to know the aims and objectives of a business and then designing an IT roadmap for their future.
