Security Support for Windows 7 to cease 14 Jan 2020
Are you a Windows 7 User?
You need to be aware that Microsoft is ending support for Windows 7 on 14 January 2020. Whilst your computer will still function there will be no updates provided and this can have serious consequences for your online security.
What does end of support mean?
When Windows 7 reaches the end of support your computer will still function and you could continue to use it running Windows 7, but without continued software and security updates, it will be at greater risk of attack from viruses and malware. You will also no longer be compliant with GDPR.
This is because Microsoft will no longer be providing the updates that you are automatically used to enjoying and these include:
Technical support for any issues
Software updates
Security updates or fixes
What is the alternative?
Going forward, the best way for you to stay secure is on the Microsoft Windows 10 platform. Microsoft will recommend that you install Windows 10 on a new PC but we can upgrade you on your existing device* as we have done for many of our clients already.
The process is simple and quick. We can either collect or you can drop off your devices with us and we will run the upgrade overnight to keep your downtime to a minimum. Make sure you are fully backed up before we start the upgrade so that your data, which is not stored in the cloud, can be reinstalled back onto your device.

*we can upgrade most devices but this may depend on the age and specification of your PC.
